On the label of a mineral or natural paint, all of the ingredients tend to be included. On the other hand, it is virtually impossible to know what is in a synthetic paint (it does not say on the label, and manufacturers do not reveal for fear of revealing secrets to their competitors).
Today we can find numerous misleading claims about the technical characteristics of paints. Almost all of the company's labels claim that their products are “breathable”, which implies that other families of paints are not; others use the term “eco-friendly” to refer to latex-based synthetic paints; there are even paints advertised as “wellness”, suggesting that they are healthy; other labels claim that the paint “contains ______” or “______-free”, but it says nothing about the ingredients that are not mentioned.
