Advice for organisations

In order to change current consumption and production patterns towards more sustainable alternatives, and contribute to the rational management of chemicals, the SCP/RAC provides technical support for the Parties to the Mediterranean Action Plan (MAP), 21 countries in the Mediterranean, the European Union (EU) and institutional bodies.

Governments, government agencies and institutional bodies must lead the introduction of innovative development models for the societies in their charge. And in this regard, the Centre provides advice and technical support for countries wishing to develop National Action Plans on Sustainable Consumption and Production, design strategies to foster eco-labelling and green public procurement, promote good environmental practices in the industrial and business sector, and so on.

Furthermore, the Centre offers technical support to Mediterranean countries to comply with the Stockholm Convention on Persistent Organic Pollutants and acts as consultant in the development of National Implementation Plans that all signatories must approve.
