Resources for civil society

Civil society plays an essential role in awareness raising and educating the general public in the environmental and social implications of current consumption models and lifestyle.

In this regard, civil society organisations can contribute to empowering citizens through information and education so that they may make informed decisions on adopting more sustainable consumption habits and lifestyles. Likewise, these organisations have a role to play in encouraging the private sector to produce more sustainable products and services.
