SCP/RAC promoted green entrepreneurship among young entrepreneurs

The Meeting was organized by the Youth General Directorate of the Family and Welfare Department of Catalonia in collaboration with IEMed and the Catalan Agency for Development Cooperation and aimed to promote and strengthen the entrepreneurial attitudes among participants as a tool for social transformation. It also aimed to empower young people to be able to become agents of change and improvement of their living conditions and their community.

The programme allowed young people to share their experiences and learn new ones, internalize innovative tools and acquire methodological skills to strengthen the impact of their projects. Projects presented belonged to areas as diverse as environment, tourism, education, business sector, ICT etc…

SCP/RAC organized an interactive session aiming at:

• introducing the concept of green entrepreneurship

• inspiring participants with real cases of successful green entrepreneurs

• presenting the green entrepreneurship and civil society component of SWITCH-Med Programme.

Furthermore, a role play took place to let participants discuss and design about basic strategies to implement and to promote green entrepreneurship in the Mediterranean.
