SWITCH-Med represented at the Joint MED International Workshop in Bologna

The international workshop aimed at encouraging real opportunities for collaboration in the fields of sustainable consumption and production and at encouraging the cross fertilization among experiences and methodologies within a European perspective.

In the morning session several major themes such as sustainable development as a new model of economic development and growth, Green Economy, Smart and Green Communities and Green Marketing were examined.  The afternoon session saw the holding of three parallel roundtables that deepened in issues such as sustainable production processes, sustainability of consumption and sustainable industrial areas.

A representative of the SWITCH-Med team of SCP/RAC had the opportunity to present the SWITCH-Med programme within the session “The support of the EU strategies and EU next programmes in achieving SCP. Interregional cooperation and research & development initiatives”.

ECO-SCP-MED, MER, Medland 2020 and ZEROWASTE PRO projects share the common goal of making the MED area become more and more conductive to sustainable and smart growth through establishing active networks and innovative initiatives.
