The CP/RAC organized, within the EC funded Horizon 2020 program, a new capacity building activity on Green Finance the 1st and 2nd of October 2013, in Tunis. Around 30 public policy officers and business representatives from Morocco, Algeria and Tunisia took actively part to this training.
The first day was focused on present both multilateral financial instruments linked with climate and green economy programs as well as specialized funding for eco-entrepreneurships, green SME's and eco-innovation projects.
During the second day, participants had the opportunity to work in small groups in order to develop and present their own private-public policies to promote green economy, such as cleaner agriculture, waste recycling, decentralized solar energy, with a strong focus on financing tools.
Finally, the training conclude with a round table with representatives from public and private banks (AFD, European Commission, AFDB, BFPME), where they could discuss the opportunities and challenges behind green economy, job creations and social inclusiveness.
