The review process of the renewed Mediterranean Strategy for Sustainable Development makes a step further
The Secretariat of the Mediterranean Action Plan (UNEP/MAP) and the UNEP/MAP Plan Bleu gathered representatives of the Contracting Parties to the Barcelona Convention and stakeholders related to sustainable development in the Mediterranean region to review the first draft of the revised Mediterranean Strategy for Sustainable Development (MSSD). Along with it, the draft of the SCP Action Plan for Mediterranean and other MAP initiatives were also presented.

Meeting for the review of the Industrial Chemicals Management Toolkit
On December 2014, the SCP/RAC signed an agreement with the Secretariat of the BRS Conventions in order to carry on a review of the industrial chemicals management Toolkit under the Rotterdam Convention.
With this objective, SCP/RAC convened a Meeting for the peer review of the Toolkit the past 25th and 26th of February 2015 in Barcelona. There were experts on chemical management from Sri Lanka, Viet Nam, Tanzania, Côte d’Ivoire, Moldova, France, Germany and Spain.

The Catalonia Ecodesign Award is looking for innovative products, products under development and product-fostering strategies created by designers, manufacturers or promoters that are designed to improve the environmental performance of products and services over the course of their life cycle.

SCP/RAC, as Regional Center for capacity Building and Technology transfer of the Stockholm Convention, assisted to the annual joint meeting to enhance cooperation and coordination between regional centres under Basel and Stockholm Conventions, organized by the Secretariat of the Basel, Rotterdam and Stockholm Conventions on 5-8 October 2015.
