Course of Sustainable Events in the Union for the Mediterranean

Sustainable Event organization or "green events" has gained force in the Mediterranean. Many countries and institutions have shown interest in being trained and informed on the issue, including the Secretariat of the Union for the Mediterranean (UfM), headquartered in Barcelona. Responding to their requests, the CP/RAC adapted his course on Sustainable Events to make it a mini-course that might occur in less than two hours.
On June 19^th, CP/RAC gave the mini-course at the headquarters of the UM to 8 people belonging to the staff of the UfM, both responsible for logistics and organization of events and purchasing. The objectives of the meeting were the presentation of the CP/RAC’s Sustainable Events Inititive, including the promotion of Sustainable Events Toolkit, the production of material and examples of good practices in organizing events and, finally, exchange of experiences in introducing of sustainability criteria in the specifications for tenders.
