SCP/RAC is seeking a Communications officer under the EU-funded STAND Up! project: Sustainable Textile Action for Networking and Development of circular economy business ventures in the Mediterranean

SCP/RAC is looking for a Communications officer to be responsible of the correct implementation of the communication strategy of the STAND Up! project, a new EU-funded project under the ENI-CBC Med Programme. The project objectives is to develop an ecosystem of business support, innovation, and technology transfer that will lead to sustainable job creation for youth and women, enhancing scalable, replicable and inclusive circular economy ventures in the Mediterranean.  

 

Under the coordination of the Networking and Communication Team Leader, the main tasks of the communications officer are:  

  • The implementation and follow up of the communication strategy of the project 
  • The management of social networks to support the dissemination of the project 
  • The elaboration of off-line elements (brochures, PPT and word templates, roll-ups ...) 
  • Assistance in the management and growth of the impact of communication tools (social networks, newsletters, etc.), as well as the return and active participation of members of the project and its beneficiaries 
  • Content writing 
  • Support marketing and positioning initiatives 
  • Ensure the dissemination of events and meetings planned in the project 
  • Work closely with the rest of the SCP/RAC team to identify and implement results-oriented communication tools 
  • Develop communication tools by monitoring and coordinating the support from external collaborators and multidisciplinary teams provided by those. 
  • Identification and selection of external suppliers for the development of activities (preparation of terms of reference, identification of suppliers, selection and hiring external experts and companies, supervising the tasks of the suppliers, etc.). 
  • Assistance in the identification and development, where appropriate, of based tools in performance and content marketing 

The position demands a degree or equivalent in communication, marketing (or a related discipline), or equivalent experience in a communication position.
