Workshop on PCBs Management in Turkey

On July 15th to 19th, 2013, a PCBs (Polychlorinated biphenyls) Management Training Program was conducted in Istanbul (Turkey), under the subcomponent 2.3 of the Strategic Partnership for the Mediterranean Sea Large Marine Ecosystem (MedPartnership). This workshop was organized by CPRAC and MEDPOL with support of the Ministry of Environment and Urbanization of Turkey in the framework of the MedPartnership project.

The workshop included a 3-days theoretical training on PCBs management with about 60 participants and a 2-days practical training on PCBs analyzer use conducted in Ambarli Power Plant for 28 participants. Participants include governmental staff, employees and representatives of different departments from the Ministry of Environment and Urbanization, Ministry of Energy, electricity distribution company, electricity generation company, laboratories, Ambarli Power Plant, etc.
