Terms and Conditions
- The Green Shots Award is open to anyone of 18 years of age or older.
- Participants must be residents of a Mediterranean country when applying.
- Participation is free of charge.
- All ideas must be submitted in English and in a short story format.
- The length of each submitted short story may not exceed 500 words (range from 350 to 500 words).
- Multiple stories may be submitted by the same person.
- Submissions must be the participant’s own original work. Adaptations and material based in any way on other media for which the author does not have the rights will be disqualified.
- Short stories must not have been previously sold, optioned or produced in any form. In the event an entry is produced, optioned or sold after being received, the author(s) must notify us within 48 hours.
- All entries must be sent to greenshotsaward@cprac.org. by Saturday, July 31, 2010 before 5 p.m. CST.
- A jury composed of environmental experts will select the 10 best stories to be turned into short animated videos.
- The shot will be produced and directed entirely by CP/RAC.
- Authors will keep the intellectual property rights on the submitted ideas.
- CP/RAC keeps the copyrights on the videos produced out of the winning ideas.
- Short stories will be evaluated based on the following criteria: innovation, feasibility, positive impact on the environment.
- The winners of the Green Shots Award will be announced at the ECOMEDA Green Forum, Barcelona in November 2010.
- The ten animated videos or Green Shots will be presented at the ECOMEDA Forum.
- The overall award is a trip to assist to the Earth Summit Rio+20 in 2012 with travel expenses included.
- Prizes subject to change without notice.
- The decisions of the judges are final.
