SCP/RAC actively participated in a series of meetings organized in Amman by the Co-Presidencies of the Union for the Mediterranean, the European Union and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan in view of the preparation of the Union for the Mediterranean Ministerial Conference on Environment and Climate Change.
In the framework of the EC funded H2020 CB/MEP initiative, the SCP/RAC has organized a sub-regional training on Sustainable Olive Oil in Amman from the 24th to the 26th of February 2014. The main objective of the activity was to increase the participants understanding of opportunities and challenges related to the development and implementation of cleaner production processes and eco-innovative policies for the olive oil sector.
The 34th International Symposium on Halogenated Persistent Organic Pollutants (POPs), Dioxin 2014, will gather the scientific community determined to look for new scientific strategies, policies and technological advances to protect the global environment from POPs, from 31st August to 5th September in Madrid (Spain).
More than 100 participants attended the workshop organized by SCP/RAC and MEDPOL, with the support of the Egyptian Ministry of State of Environmental Affairs (MSEA), on Polychlorinated biphenyls (PCB) management in Alexandria (Egypt) on February 24-27th, 2014.
Industrial Management and environmental governance were at the centre of the capacity building workshop organized in Gabes (Tunisia) on 12th and 13th February 2014 by SCP/RAC, within the framework of the EC funded H2020 CB/MEP program.
